My Thoughts on FC Barcelona

Up to a few months ago, i really didn’t like Barcelona (I hated and still hate Real Madrid more) as I hadn’t really given myself the chance to like spanish domestic football but I have always respected the team and truth be told admired their way of play and the skills of their players.

However, this year I have gained a huge liking of the team and would now count myself as a casual supporter. I have watched several games over the last few months and let’s just say that the majority of the games that I have watched have been exciting.

Everyone knows that FC Barcelona are a massive powerhouse when it comes European club football and that they have really good quality players. That’s obvious to see. However, after watching more and more as well as looking more into the history, stats and things from outside of football, their slogan of ‘Més que un club’ really symbolises what they are about even though they are still a business.

People always assume FC Barcelona as being UEFAlona and that their players dive far too much and even though I would that the diving thing is somewhat true, it isn’t always that.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope to see you again soon when I post next.

Let’s Talk: #CountdownTo18

I turn 18 on May 19th (Which is in under a week when this is being posted, I am actually writing this on May 4th for convenience). I thought that I will share with you some of the things that I am most looking forward to when I turn 18. Lets Go.

Turning 18 is a massive deal in the UK and even though there are some things that we are allowed to do at 16 and 17, there are a lot of things that you can do at 18 that you couldn’t do before

Things I’m Looking Forward to When I Turn 18

  1. Something that is at the top of literally everyone’s list (Or almost everyone’s list) is that it is legal to buy and consume alcohol (You could have some alcohol with a meal at 16 and you could have some at home at an earlier age but at 18, it is officially legal to purchase and consume alcohol)
  2. The Vote (My 18th birthday lies before the snap general election on June 8th, which is absolutely amazing). I have been looking into everything in regards to the election and I have visited Polling Stations on a number of occasions with my dad. This is my first chance to actually be allowed to make my own democratic decision on such a huge scale. I am so happy that I will have a say on such a huge matter like the general election as I can be involved in changing the shape of the country instead of everyone making the decisions and all I could do was spectate.
  3. Parental consent no longer necessary as I will be a legal adult
  4. I can buy fireworks
  5. I am allowed to watch 18-Rated Movies at the cinema.
  6. I am allowed to go in the 18+ section of arcades
  7. I can get a tattoo if I want to
  8. I can open a proper bank account

Update

Hi guys. I haven’t posted a proper post on this blog literally since March 18th 2017 (yes… I write the year even though it is still 2017). This means that I haven’t posted a proper post for at least one and a half months (nearing two months). Since then so much has happened in my life, both good and bad and I have been so busy with school as my exams are literally in a matter of weeks.

I have been so busy as I have my first exam on May 17th so I have been revising like actual crazy for that, I have Coursework to complete as I’m in Y13, my last year of compulsory education and I am trying to get into grips of the concept that I turn 18 on May 19th.

Some good things that happened included that I had a two day trial for a potential apprenticeship, which is a junior accounts apprentice role in the finance department of a media company near to where I live as well as that I went on a weekend away to a place which is literally 30 minutes away from where I live. However, I don’t really want to disclose the bad things that have happened as they are personal and I don’t feel ready or willing to disclose them. I hope you can respect my privacy when it comes to this and if I’m ready in the future, I may post about it but I will only do it if I’m ready to do so.

I’m going to leave you off with the couple of update posts that I did post as I have decided to delete them before making this post as they were not long or really proper posts at all.  Here Goes

A Lame Excuse For A Post But It’s A Post Anyway

I’ve been so so busy this week, from mock exams to applying for an apprenticeship and much more, I have had barely any time to write a proper post.

Sorry for the quick post but I hope you enjoyed it and I hope to see you again soon when I post next.

No Proper Post Today

Sorry but there won’t be a proper post today and I can’t guarantee that there will be regular posts in the near future as my life is getting busier and busier and I have other things on my mind

Sorry and thanks for your understanding

My Life In A Nutshell: A Typical Day In My Life

It’s Friday night and I barely have time to write a post as I have mocks next week, I’m sorting out a work experience application and Twitch is currently showing a marathon of Power Rangers for the next almost two weeks still. Chelsey’s Corner: Music To My Ears #2

Throughout the last few weeks, I have been more into listening to music especially older music from the early to mid 2000s. Lets just say that it’s in order to block out the noise of the very noisy boys in my law class. I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite songs at the moment.

My Favourite Songs at the Moment

  • Complicated – Avril Lavigne
  • (You Drive Me) Crazy – Britney Spears
  • Chantaje (ft. Maluma) – Shakira
  • Whenever, Wherever – Shakira
  • Empire – Shakira
  • How Far I’ll Go – Alessia Cara
  • Papi – Jennifer Lopez

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will hopefully see you again soon when I post next.

Just a quick Update

I am trying my best to upload a post every week but it’s getting harder as I have mocks in 3 weeks and I have exams in May. Also, I need to find work and to top it all off, I turn 18 in May.

So if I don’t upload for one week, I’m not dead, I’m just to busy with my real life to write a post. I hope you can understand what I am saying

I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope to see you again soon when I post next.

Law Trip To London (Monday 19th December 2016)

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I recently (Not so recently now)  went to London on a law trip with school  (An educational law trip and not a shopping trip unlike the majority of people going to London at this time of year). I had such an amazing day and it was one of the best school trips I have been on (On par with the two times I have went to Thorpe Park with school). This is why I thought I would tell you about my trip to London (In a beautifully bulletpointed form accompanied with pictures).

  • Left at 8:30 from school and travelled by coach to London.
  • Arrived in London (Westminster to be precise) at around 10:30/11am
  • Walked to the Supreme Court and went inside the Court
  • Walked past Downing Street
  • Walked to Trafalgar Square
  • Just before midday we were released for our lunch break and had to get back to Trafalgar Square for 1:40
  • Went to the surprisingly quiet McDonalds near Charring Cross Station and had a fillet of fish, chips and milkshake.
  • Instead of going shopping, me and my friend decided to go to Buckingham Palace so we walked to Buckingham Palace and walked back through Green Park (I think)
  • Got back to Trafalgar Square and had some time to spare so I went to a gift shop on the strand and brought two fridge magnets.
  • Walked along the strand until the time we needed to meet back up at Trafalgar Square.
  • Met back with everyone
  • Walked to the Houses of Parliament
  • Went into the Houses of Parliament
  • FYI: We done a quiz in the education centre and I won (Let’s say that because of that my team won the whole thing at the educational centre.
  • Walked back to the coach
  • Got on the coach at around 4:30pm
  • Got back to school at around 6:30pm
  • Got home at 7pm and then had dinner before settling down for bed.
